Why am I asked to check my system date & time before recording a video?

Sometimes, when you try to record a video, an error message appears.

The problem is caused by an out-of-sync system time. In order to upload the videos to our AWS S3 servers, you need to ensure that the system time is up to date. 

For Windows, 

  1. Click on the clock and select ‘Change date and time settings’.

  2. Click on the ‘Internet Time’ tab.

  3. Check if it is set to ‘Synchronize the time with’.

  4. If the option is selected, click on change settings to check the option ‘Synchronize with an Internet Time Server’.

  5. Click on OK.

For Mac,

  1. Go to System Preferences > Date & Time

  2. Then, check the Set date and time automatically box.
