Send personalized video emails

Be it onboarding new customers or sending them new discounts, we rely on emails to communicate. Customers, on the other hand, receive hundreds of emails in their inboxes every day. Since most of these mailers sound like bots, they lack that personal connection between the sender and recipients.

If you’re not getting the desired response, it means your emails lack personalization. At Hippo Video, we make personalization very effective and easy.


To personalize your video thumbnail:

  1. Log-in to  Hippo Video with your existing credentials.

  2. Click on the Library icon from the left navbar > Videos and Documents All Assets.

  3. Select the video for which you want to choose the thumbnail

  4. Click the Thumbnail icon below the video preview.

  1. In the Thumbnail slider, select the default frame or upload a new frame or select a frame from your video and set it as the thumbnail image.

  1. Once you’ve selected any of those options, you’ll be able to see the Personalize button at the bottom. Click the button.

  1. You can add text, merge fields, and logo to your thumbnail image.

  1. Once you’re done, click Save

To launch an email campaign:

Now you have your personalized video ready to hit the world.

  1. On the Video Preview page, click the Send Mail button.

  1. Click on Add Contacts or  Import Contacts.

Note: In the spreadsheet, you import, make sure you give the right title for each column in the top row for the merge fields to work.
  1. Once you’ve added/imported your contacts, enter a subject line. To personalize your subject line, type ‘$’ and select an available merge field.

  2. Then you can add your email content along with a video link (which is attached within).

  3. Click Send to launch your email campaign.

  1. Finally, you’ve successfully launched your email campaign.
