What to do if your Video doesn't have sound in Safari

When you’re using Hippo Video platform on the Safari browser, the video played would be on mute by default. It is likely due to a new feature introduced by Safari.

This feature, enabled by default, prevents automatic audio playback while browsing websites, including Hippo Video.

To ensure audio playback, begin follow the below steps:

Click on Safari Menu ➤ Select Preferences.

Once the Preferences window opens, click on Websites, and select Auto-Play. In the right-hand area, you will find Hippo Video listed, and it will be automatically selected for "Stop Media with Sound."

Please change the setting from “Stop Media with Sound” to “Allow All Auto-Play. Now, the audio would start playing in all your videos.
