Hippo Video allows you to record videos using a screen recorder, webcam, and mic. Log into your Hippo Video Windows Desktop app before beginning to record your video.

Screen record:
Keep your videos simple with screen capture. With Hippo Video, you can allow your viewers to see the same information in the same way as you, without missing out on any data. To do so, you must enable the screen capture and disable the rest of the inputs.
Screen capture settings:
Modify your screen capture settings before you start recording.
Click on the Advanced Settings at the bottom of the pop-up window.
You can select or deselect options as needed and then click the Back icon to continue recording.
To create a video using screen capture:
Select SCREEN RECORD. You can choose your video recording area as full screen, window, or custom size.
Choose the capture area to record your screen,
Full Screen - Captures full screen.
Window - Captures only the selected window.
Note: If no window is active, you need to click Refresh and then select the preferred window to make it active.
Custom Size - Captures only the selected area on the screen. Click Yes and drag to make the selection.
Click Start Recording.

Once you’ve done, click Finish Recording.
Mic:
You can change the input source of the audio. If you want to use an external microphone other than the default options built-in to your computer, you can do so. Test your mic here with Hippo Video Microphone testing.
Audio settings:
Modify your audio settings before you start recording.
Click on the Advanced Settings at the bottom of the pop-up window.
You can select the audio source and click the Back icon to continue recording.
To create a recording with audio:
You can either choose to record just audio or record with a combination of screen and audio.
Follow these steps to create an audio recording,
Select Screen Record and Mic.
Click on Record to start recording.
Once you’ve done, click Finish Recording.
Webcam:
You can change the input source of the video. If you want to use an external webcam other than the default options built-in to your computer, you can do so. Hippo Video can help you Test your webcam here.
Webcam settings:
Modify your webcam settings before you start recording.
Click on the Advanced Settings at the bottom of the pop-up window.
You can change the webcam source, size, position, and output to small, medium, or large based on your preferences, and click the Back icon to continue recording.
To create a video using a webcam:
Record your videos with the webcam for a personal touch. You have an option to record with audio, screen, and webcam simultaneously.
Follow these steps to create your recording with a webcam:
Select Screen Record, Webcam, and Mic.
Choose the webcam source.
Select RECORD to start recording.
Once you’ve done, click Finish Recording.
