We’ve created a default Virtual Background folder for this feature with all the stock images & videos. You can use the virtual background for the videos inside your video library and in various workflows.
Use Cases (Admin/Users):
Admin and Users will have an option to upload VB images/videos
Users will have an option to choose VB images/videos based on tags and folders for easy access
Admin and Users will be able to set tags and assign them to the specific folder while uploading the image/video
Admin and Users will have an option to add a website as a virtual background to videos by providing an URL

Where can you find the Virtual background feature inside Hippo Video?
Prospecting Videos - Quick Preview: This section lets you manage the virtual background features inside Prospecting Videos.
To create a new video and apply virtual background:
Click on the +Create button from the top right and then click on Camera Only.
Click on the red Circle button to record your message.
Once the recording is complete, click on the red Square button.
Click the Plus icon near the Folders label and select the folder as Virtual Background the right-side of the video preview.
Click on the Virtual Background icon below the video preview.
The Add Virtual Background slider will appear.
The Search field allows you to search by video names, image names or tags.
The Show Content Type option allows you to filter only the images or videos or both by clicking on the text link.
If you select any image or video, you’ll be able to see the preview of the same at the top.
Once you’re done, click on Apply at the bottom. It may take a few seconds to render and process the video with the selected virtual background.
You’ll notice that the selected background is applied to your video.
Note: In case, if you want to remove the background, click on the None option.
Library Preview - This section lets you understand how to apply and use the virtual background features inside Library Preview.
To apply virtual background for the existing video:
Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar > All Assets.
Open the video you wish to add virtual background and you’ll be redirected to the video preview page.
Click on the Virtual Background icon below the video preview.
By default, the Virtual Backgrounds folder will be selected. You can choose a different folder by selecting it from the list.
The Search field allows you to search by video names, image names or tags.
The Show Content Type option allows you to filter only the images or videos or both by clicking on the text link.
If you select any image or video, you’ll be able to see the preview of the same at the top.
Once you’re done, click on Apply at the bottom. It may take a few seconds to render and process the video with the selected virtual background.
You’ll notice that the selected background is applied to your video as shown in the below example.

Video Flows: This section lets you understand how to apply and use the virtual background features inside Video Flows.
To add virtual background inside the video flows workflow:
Hover the mouse over the HV Studio icon from the left navigation bar and click on the Video Flows.
Select the preferred video flow.
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed further.
Note: You’ll be able to view the virtual background option for the newly created videos.
Once you’ve completed recording, you’ll see the Add Virtual Background option at the bottom of the video preview.
Click on the Add Virtual Background. The Add Virtual Background slider will appear on the right with all the default images and videos available in your account.
From the Select Folder drop-down, you can choose a preferred folder.
The Tags field allows you to filter the videos and images by tags.
The Show Content Type option allows you to filter only the images or videos or both by clicking on the text link.
If you select any image or video, you’ll be able to see the preview of the same at the top.
Once you’ve done, click on Apply at the bottom. You’ll notice that the selected background is applied to your video.
Now, click on Merge and Save at the top right. It may take a few minutes to render and process the final video.
Once done, click Proceed. Your template is ready.
Note: You can always find the merged videos inside your video library.
Managing virtual background folders: This section lets you manage the virtual background folders inside Videos and Documents.
To view the virtual background folder:
Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar > All Assets.
You’ll find the Virtual Background folder which has all the stock images & videos.
Note: By default, the Virtual Background folder will be pinned at the top for easy access to the user.
The images and videos are tagged as Image and Videos respectively.
You can always import more images and videos from your local/Gdrive. By default, all your imported images and videos will be saved inside the Virtual Background folder.
To add other images from any other folder to the virtual background folder:
Hover the mouse over the image, you’ll find the More icon at the right side of the image.
Click the icon and select Edit.
Simply select the folder name.
Click Save. Now, the selected image will also be available inside the selected folder.
To add other videos from any other folder to the virtual background folder:
Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar > All Assets. Open the video you wish to move to the virtual background folder. You’ll be redirected to the video preview page.
Click the Plus icon near the Folder label and select the folder from the list.
Now, the selected video will also be available inside the selected folder.
To create a new folder for virtual background:
By creating a new folder, you can share the folder with specific users.
On the Assets page, click on Create Folder at the top right.
The Create New Folder window will appear.
Enter the details and click Save. You can save the images and videos inside this folder that can be shared with users.
To create or import videos/images inside the Virtual Background folder:
Open the Virtual Background folder.
Click the Create Content button at the top right.
You can either click on Create Video or Import Video from the list. The videos will be saved inside the Virtual Background folder.
