To add video emails to new automation in ActiveCampaign:
Log-in to ActiveCampaign using your existing credentials.
Click onAutomations icon from the quick navigation bar on the left.
Click on the Create an automation.
To build new automation, you can choose from the list of existing templates (recipes) or select Start from Scratch and click on Continue.
To step up a trigger, pick an appropriate trigger from the list and then click on Continue.
To add a video email in the automation, click on Add a New Action.
Select Send an email from the list.
Click on create an email link.
Then, click on Start From Scratch at the top of the existing design and choose a template type and click on Continue.
The ‘Sender Details’ window will pop up.
Enter the Email Subject and click Continue.
Navigate to the right side of the screen and click on Options.
Then, scroll down and drag & drop the HTML Block component in the desired place. Click on the block to paste HTML code.
To select the video, login to Hippo Video account using existing credentials.
Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar > All Assets > open the video that you wish to embed > click on Share/Embed icon.
The Share slider will open up.
From the Email Marketing Software drop-down list, select ActiveCampaign, and click Copy Code.
Note: Check the Responsive box to make your video compatible with different screen orientations like PC or mobile.
Now, to embed the video go back to the ActiveCampaign tab.
Paste the copied code inside the ‘Custom HTML’ editor.
Once you’ve done, click on Save.
You will notice the video gets pasted as a thumbnail inside the page.
Note: If the thumbnail seems broken, click onsettings on the top right corner and select Desktop Preview. If you can see the thumbnail in preview mode, be assured that the recipient will also be able to view it.
Now, click on Next to move to the ‘Campaign Summary’ page.
You’ll be able to review the details and then click on Finish.
You can add as many video emails as required by following the steps above.
