When using Hippo Video, your webcam may not appear on specific pages due to multiple reasons.
Browser Permission:
Ensure that your browser has the necessary permissions to access your webcam. Some websites require explicit permission to access your webcam, and if you haven't granted permission, the webcam may not show up. Check your browser settings and ensure that webcam access is allowed for the specific websites where you're experiencing the issue.
Updated Browser:
Make sure you are using the latest version of your web browser. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues with certain websites or features, including webcam functionality. If the issue arises, update your browser version and try again.
However, in some cases, when you are switching between tabs in the browser while recording, there is a possibility that the webcam may lag and fail to capture the recording.
To avoid this, we recommend utilizing our Hippo Video Desktop application, which effectively prevents such occurrences during recordings.
Download the Hippo Video desktop app from the profile icon at the bottom left.
This link will help you download and install the Hippo Video Windows or Mac Desktop app.
Please note that due to browser limitations, the webcam will not be visible when recording a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation through a browser extension or web application. To overcome this, we recommend utilizing the Hippo Video Desktop app to include your webcam feed alongside the presentation.
