Create videos using the 'send follow up video' template

Want to add a video to your follow-up emails? Hippo Video's 'Send Follow Up Video' template lets you quickly add a video to your email. It is also a great way to recap key points and close the loop with a customer as you share information and build relationships with them through facial expressions and voice tone. Don't wait; start creating and adding videos now, as it will only take a couple of minutes and is much faster than typing. Finally, to stay on top of their mind, send a follow-up email based on your last conversation to nudge them to engage with you without coming off as pushy.

To create a video using the 'send follow up video' template: 

  1. Log in to Hippo Video with your existing credentials. Sign-up here if you are a new user.

  2. Click on the Library icon > Template Builder from the left nav bar and select Send Follow Up Video template, which is created by default.

Note: All the video templates come with a default sales page.
  1. A window similar to the one below will appear. 


Slide 1Here, you can record a personalized video to give a brief, request feedback, or ask for a response from your prospects.

  1. You’ll have two options: Webcam Video (record a video) or Import Video (local drive/recorded videos).

  2. For example, click on the Webcam Video to record a video.

  1. The Recorder tab will appear.

  1. Before recording, you can select Webcam SourceMic SourceAspect Ratio, and enable/disable Mirror Webcam Video camera, if needed.

  1. Once you’ve done that, click Settings  to exit the pop-up.

  2. Now, you can start recording. To do so, click the red circle button.

  3. After you’ve completed the recording, click the red square button.

  1. Next, trim your video to perfection if you choose to.

  1. Once you’ve edited to your liking, click Submit. The selected video will be inserted.

  2. If you want to spruce your video, you'll find several options to add a virtual background. You can choose them by selecting From libraryWebsite screenshot (enter web link), Upload image (local drive/gdrive), or LinkedIn screenshot. Select the option accordingly and click Apply.

Note: If you’re unsatisfied with the final video, click the Retake button and delete the video by clicking the Delete button below the thumbnail.
  1. To add a virtual background from the Hippo Video library, Hippo Video provides you with three methods. 

  1. Click the From library link, select the appropriate option, and click  Apply. The chosen image or video will be applied to your video as a background.

  1. Or, to add a website screenshot as a virtual background, click the Website screenshot link, enter the valid website URL and click check. Once the validation is complete, click import.

  1. Or, to add a virtual background from your local drive or G-drive, click the Upload image link and select the appropriate image and click Import.

  1. Or, to add a LinkedIn screenshot as a virtual background, click the LinkedIn screenshot link and add. Check out this article for more detail.

  1. Once you select, click Apply.

  2. You’ll notice that the selected virtual background is applied to your video. Click Next to move to the next slide.


Step 2: It is time to give your prospects more information in this video by having a quick screen-recorded explainer video showcasing your product.

  1. You’ll have four options: Webcam Video (record a video), Import Video (local drive/recorded videos), Screen Share With Webcam (record video with screen share), or Screen Share (record your screen).

  1. For example, click on the Import Video button to import a video.

  1. Select the video and click Proceed.

  1. The selected video will be imported here. Click Next to move to the next slide.


Step 3: Finally, thank them for their time during the demo and explain how your product will solve their workflow structures and make their lives easier. This way, you can quickly build a long-lasting partnership with them. 

  1. You’ll have two options: Webcam Video (record a video) or Import Video (local drive/recorded videos).

  1. For example, click on the Import Video button to import the video.

  1. Select the appropriate video and click Proceed.

  1. The selected video will be uploaded.

  1. To add your custom background music, click Settings > Set Background Music tab on the top bar's right side.

  1. The Import Audio pop will appear.

  2. You can import audio from local, recently used audio libraries or G-Drive and then click Import.

  1. The selected audio is set. You’ll be able to check out the audio preview by clicking on the play icon below the video thumbnail.

  1. You can adjust the volume of the background music on the slider.

  1. Also, you can change the background music at any point in time.

  1. Before sharing the video, take a look at your video preview by clicking the Preview at the top.

  2. Once you’ve done that, click Merge & Save at the top right. You can find all your videos merged and saved inside the library.

  3. The ‘Share your video with the link below’ pop-up will appear.

  1. Fill in the details and choose the appropriate option to share the video with your prospects. 

  2. Or else, you can exit the pop-up and share your video via email. Also, now you can share the video with your prospects anytime from the library.
