1. Log-in to your Pipedrive account. 

  2. Click on ‘People’ under the ‘Contacts’ tab on the top. 

  3. Click on an existing contact and click on the ‘Email’ tab on the right inside the contacts page.

  4. You can also add a new contact by clicking on the ‘+ Person’ button on the top left. 

  5. In the compose email window, click on the orange Hippo Video icon at the bottom. 

  1. You will see a pop-up with two options - ‘Record with screen-recording’ or ‘Choose from library’. 

  2. To record a video:

    1. Click on ‘Start recording’ to record your message.

    2. Click on ‘Finish Recording’ when done. 

    3. If you wish to crop or edit the video, you can do it right there, and also add text or emojis.

    4. Once you are done, click on ‘Insert Video’ to finish up.


  1.  To choose an existing video:

    1. Click on the ‘Choose from library’ button at the bottom.

    2. You will find all your existing videos displayed here. Select a video and click on ‘Continue’. 

    3. If you wish to crop or edit the video, you can do it right there and also add text or emojis.

    4. Once you are done, click on ‘Insert Video’ to finish up.


  1. To personalize your video

    1. Click on edit video, to trim out any awkward pauses at the beginning or end of the video by clicking on the Scissor icon.

    1. Click on the ‘T’(text) icon and add your message.

    1. Click on the orange band on the seek bar to enter the start and end time of the text. This determines the duration and position of the text in the video. 

    1. Once you have completed editing, your video is now ready to be shared.

    2. If you wish to send out your video via a landing page, click the ‘Landing Page’ tab on the top right corner to select a landing page template to embed. 

Here’s a Pro Tip: You can create one sales page for multiple videos and the entire team can use it while sending videos. The Merge fields can be auto-replaced by the sender & prospect information eg: First Name, Company Name, etc.


    1. Then, click on the ‘Thumbnail’ tab on the top right corner to choose a thumbnail for the video. 

Here’s a Pro Tip: It is recommended to choose an animated GIF thumbnail over a static one.


    1. Once you’ve done, click on ‘Insert Video.

  1. You will notice the video gets pasted as a thumbnail. 

  2. Enter a subject line if you wish, and click on ‘Send’.
