Set circular webcam

With Hippo Video, you can now record with a webcam which can be a great way to connect with your prospects.  Showing your face on a video allows your prospects to identify with you and see your facial expressions while explaining a topic. This way you can pitch or connect with them on a personal level.

Tip: Circle webcam suits best when you are recording content inside the Chrome browser. What you see is what will appear in the final recording.


To set circle webcam inside the product:

  1. Login to Hippo Video using credentials.

  2. On the top right, click +Create button and then click on Screen + Camera option from the pop-up.

  1. Click the Show Advanced Options at the bottom.

  1. Choose your preferred settings such as webcam position, shape as a circle, size, etc., and quit the dialog box.

  2. Then, click on Start Recording.

  1. Select the type of screencasting you wish to record: Entire Screen/Window and proceed with the recording.

Note: If you are accessing the webcam for the first time then you’ll be given a Webcam tour to help you select the best webcam position.
  1. Screen recording will start after the countdown.

  2. At the beginning of the recording, you will notice that your webcam will appear at the center of your screen.

  1. In order to move the webcam to the selected position (left top/right top/left bottom/right bottom), double-click on the webcam or click anywhere on the screen the webcam will be moved accordingly.

  1. Select from a wide range of mark-up tools at the bottom right corner to pause and play your video or toggle your webcam.

  1. Click on the  Webcam icon, to toggle between the webcam visibility. 


To set circle webcam using chrome extension: 

  1. Click on the Hippo Videoicon on top (browser).

  2. Next, click on Advanced Settings at the bottom of the pop-up window.

  1. Under the Webcam Settings label, select the ‘Webcam shape’ as Circle.

  1. Once you’ve selected, click(top of the pop-up window) and then click on Record

  2. Select the type of screencasting you wish to record: Entire Screen/Window and proceed with the recording.

  3. Screen recording will start after the countdown.

  4. At the beginning of the recording, you will notice that your webcam will appear at the center of your screen.

  5. In order to move the webcam to the selected position (left top/right top/left bottom/right bottom), double-click on the webcam or click anywhere on the screen the webcam will be moved accordingly.

  6. Select from a wide range of mark-up tools at the bottom right corner to pause and play your video or toggle your webcam.

  7. Click on theWebcam icon, to toggle between the webcam visibility.
