With Hippo Video, you can now use an image and video as a virtual background for your videos by using the Virtual Background feature. It can be any existing animation or background videos or images that you want to use as your virtual background. In addition to that, you can also use your webpage screenshot as the virtual background to add value to your brand.

Let’s see how to apply virtual background for the new and existing videos,
To apply a virtual background for a new video:
Log-in to Hippo Video with your existing credentials.
Click on + Create button from the top right > Camera Only.
To record a video, click on the Recordbutton, to record your message.
Once the recording is complete, click on the Stopbutton.
By default, your video will be saved in the Library.
Click on the Create Virtual Backgroundicon below the video preview.
The Virtual BG slider will open up.
Select the folder as Virtual Background below Add to folder title on the right-side of the video preview.
The Select Folder lets you select the folders of your choice to choose the background.
The Search field allows you to search by video names, image names or tags.
The Show Content Type option allows you to filter only the images or videos or both by clicking on the text link.
If you select any image or video, you’ll be able to see the preview of the same at the top.
None - Click to reset your background.
Add Background - Click to add images from your local drive/g-drive/weblink.
Here for example, let’s see how to add a website screenshot as a virtual background.
Enter your valid website URL in the field and click the Check button.
It may take a few seconds to validate the URL.
If the URL is not matching then you will be prompted with the error message else you will be shown with the website screenshot preview.
You’ll be able to see the preview of the same. Click Import.
Enter the title and other information.
Once you’re done, click on Apply at the bottom. It may take a few seconds to render and process the video with the selected virtual background.
Note : By clicking on the Cancel button, your virtual background selection will be discarded. However, you can always choose the video from your Library to apply a virtual background later on.
You’ll notice that the selected background is applied to your video as shown in the below example.
To apply a virtual background for an existing video:
Click on the Libraryicon from the left navbar > Videos and Documents > All Assets.
Select the video you wish to apply virtual background.
In the Video Preview page, click on the Create Virtual Background icon below the video preview upon which the Virtual Background slider will appear.
Then, select your preferred background and click on Apply.
It may take a few seconds to analyse and apply virtual background for the selected video.
The selected background will be applied to the video.
