Send and track video emails from Salesforce Classic

Requirements:

  • Hippo Video Account. Sign-up here if you are a new user. 

  • Hippo Video Chrome extension. Click on this link to install.

To switch from salesforce to salesforce classic layout: 

  1. Login to Salesforce.com, click on the View profile icon on the top right corner, and select Switch to Salesforce Classic from the pop-up.

  1. You’ll be navigated to the Salesforce Classic page.


To send 1:1 video emails from Salesforce Classic:

  1. Click on Leads/Contacts (button or option) from the top menu and select a prospect from the list.

  2. Click on the Send an Email button.

Note: We recommend using HTML as an Email Format because Salesforce Classic will not support Thumbnail and HTML links.
  1. You’ll find the Hippo Video icon at the top right of your email compose window.

  1. Click on the Hippo Video icon. Select the option from the pop-up.

  2. Before recording, if you have any lengthy scripts then enable the teleprompter. The Enable Teleprompter feature within Hippo Video will prompt your scripts on the screen and lets you talk without the need to check your notes. To learn how to enable it, click here.

  3. You can create a new video or import a video from the Hippo Video library or record your screen and share it.

  4. Once you have completed it, your video is now ready to be shared.

  5. Click on the Insert Video button to finish up.

  6. You will notice the video gets embedded as a thumbnail inside the compose mailbox.

  7. Enter the prospect’s email and choose the template or enter the message below. Hit Send

  8. Now, you have successfully sent a video email to your prospect from Salesforce.


To track the prospect’s activity against videos sent via leads:

  1. Click on Leads (option/button) from the top menu and select a prospect from the list.

  2. You will be able to see the Notes for each email sent.

  1. To view the notes in detail, click on the appropriate notes.


To track the prospect’s activity against videos sent via contacts:

  1. Click on Contacts from the top menu and select a prospect from the list.

  2. You will be able to see the Notes & Attachments for each email sent.

  1. To view the notes in detail, click on the appropriate notes.
