Publish videos directly to a Slack channel

With videos being more effective than text, team communication has got a lot more simpler with videos right inside your Slack channel. Record and send short & engaging videos to your team & deliver the right message across. 

Hippo Video allows you to record your webcam or your screen and share the same with your team. You can also edit an existing message and reply with a video on Slack with Hippo Video integration.

Requirements:

  • Hippo Video Account

  • Slack Account

  • Hippo Video Chrome Extension.

To publish videos directly to a Slack channel:

  1. Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar > All Assets.

  2. All your videos will be displayed here. Click on a video you wish to send out.

  3. On the right side of the video preview, click the Share/Embed Code icon.

  1. From the Share slider, select Share option and then click on Post to Slack button.

  1. Select your workspace, channel name, and add comments if any, and click on Post when done.

  1. You shall receive a notification confirming that the video has been posted to Slack.

  2. You can now find the video in the channel you posted it to in the Slack webpage.
