Requirements:

  • Slack Account

  • Hippo Video Chrome Extension. Click here, to install.

  • ‘Pro’ plan or above

To send video message in Slack:

  1. Log-in to Slack Workspace using your existing credentials.

  2. You can share videos as direct messages to contacts or post them in a channel within Slack.

  3. Click on a contact or a channel from tab on the left.

  4. In the compose mailbox, you’ll find the Hippo Video icon at the bottom of the message window.

  5. Click on the Hippo Video icon. Select the option from the pop-up.

  6. Before recording, if you have any lengthy scripts then enable the teleprompter. The Enable Teleprompter feature within Hippo Video will prompt your scripts on the screen and lets you talk without the need to check your notes. To learn how to enable it, click here.

  7. You can create a new video or import a video from the Hippo Video library or record your screen and share.

  8. Once you have completed, your video is now ready to be shared.

  9. If you wish to send out your video via a sales page, click the Sales Page tab on the top right corner to select a sales page template to embed and then, click on the Thumbnail tab on the top right corner to choose a thumbnail for the video.   10. Click on Insert Video when done.

  11. Your video gets pasted as a link to the message window. Hit the Enter button to send it out to your contact.
