1. Log-in to LinkedIn Sales Navigator using your existing credentials. 

  2. Select a contact/prospect and click on the ‘Message’ button to the top right. 

  3. Click on the orange Hippo Video icon at the bottom of your Sales Navigator inbox.

  1. You will see a pop-up with two options - ‘Record with screen-recording’ or ‘Choose from library’.

  2. To record a video:

    1. Click on ‘Start recording’ to record your message.

    1. Click on ‘Finish Recording’ when done. 

    2. If you wish to crop or edit the video, you can do it right there, and also add text or emojis.

    3. Once you have completed editing, your video is now ready to be shared.        

    4. If you wish to send out your video via a landing page, click the ‘Landing Page’ tab on the top right corner to select a landing page template to embed.         

Here’s a Pro Tip: You can create one sales page for multiple videos and the entire team can use it while sending videos. The Merge fields will be auto-replaced by sender & prospect information eg: First Name, Company name, etc.


    1. Then, click on the ‘Thumbnail’ tab on the top right corner to choose a thumbnail for the video.    

Here’s a Pro Tip: It is recommended to choose an animated GIF thumbnail over a static one.

    1. Once you’ve done, click on ‘Insert Video to finish up.

    2. Click on ‘Send’. You shall notice the video getting pasted as a link, but the recipient would receive a video thumbnail along with the link. 


  1. To choose an existing video:

    1. Click on the ‘Choose from library’ button at the bottom.

    2. You will find all your existing videos displayed here. Select a video and click on ‘Continue’. 

    3. If you wish to crop or edit the video, you can do it right there and also add text or emojis.

    4. Once you are done, click on ‘Insert Video’ to finish up.
