Add interactive video CTAs to your video

Many businesses create great video content but fail to reach their desired expectations. For example, poor engagement, zero lead generation, etc.

Fret not. Hippo Video offers you a way to overcome such hurdles by introducing Timeline Actions. You can engage your viewers and generate leads with videos by adding Forms, Annotations, Custom polls, Lead generation forms, Promote your playlist, Call to action, and In-video meeting link.

In this article, we’ll show you how to take advantage of Hippo Video’s Interactive Video CTAs features:

In-video meeting link:
Adding an in-video meeting to your video allows prospects to book a meeting with you directly from your video
To add in-video meeting link:

  1. Login to Hippo Video using existing credentials.

  2. Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar and select the video in which you want to add in-video meeting link.

  3. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > In-Video Meeting Link button.

  1. Enter the details in the respective fields i.e. full name, designation, the text you’d like to display on the CTA button, and your meeting link in the respective fields.

Note: You can change the font settings for full name, designation, button name, and button color.
  1. Click Apply to save the changes. You’ll notice the In-Video Meeting Link added to your video below the video preview.


Call to action (CTA):

Call to action (CTA) is one main ingredient in marketing that can persuade viewers to take immediate action. For example, “Try it now,” “Join us,” and “Sign up”. You might’ve got dozens of CTAs appearing on your website from time to time. Now, how about adding them in your videos too, and bring more conversions and revenue?

To add call-to-action link:

  1. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > Call-To-Action button.

  1. To send your viewers to any targeted page choose the type of CTA from HTML, Image, Text, HubSpot, and Pardot.

  2. Later, fill in the details asked according to the CTA type you’ve chosen.


Note: If you are editing a video, you'll be notified with the warning message near the Interactive Video CTA tab to inform you to update the CTA accordingly. Once you've done, click Dismiss to remove the warning message.



Type: Text

  1. If you’ve selected Text type CTA then in the Text field, ddd the corresponding text to be displayed on your CTA.

  2. Now, give a Link that you’d want your viewers to be taken to and set a time at which you’d like the CTA to appear.

  3. Set a Time at which you’d like the CTA to be appeared and click Apply to save the changes.


Type: HTML

  1. If you’ve selected HTML type CTA, paste the HTML code of the button, and text to appear on the video screen.

  2. Set a Time at which you’d like the CTA to be appeared and click Apply to save the changes.


Type: Image

  1. If you’ve selected Image type CTA, then click Upload Image button to add image.

  1. Select the image, add Link, and set a Time at which you’d like the CTA to be appeared and click Apply to save the changes.


Type: HubSpot

  1. If you’ve selected HubSpot type CTA, then enter the Portal Id.  To learn how to get the portal Id, click here and the Form Id. To learn how to get the form Id, click here.

  2. Set the Background theme to Light/Dark.

  3. Set the exact Time of the video where you want the form to appear and click Apply to save the changes.

  1. Once the video is shared and played by your prospects, the added form will be populated to them.

  2. As soon as the form gets filled, you shall notice the lead gets added under Contacts within HubSpot.


Type: Pardot

  1. If you’ve selected Pardot type CTA, then set the exact Time of the video where you want the form to appear and click Apply to save the changes.

  1. You’ll notice the Call to action added to your video below the video preview.


Annotations:

Adding an annotation to your video is a perfect way to give a message or notify your viewers without interrupting them while watching your video. When you add an annotation to your video, it appears at the right upper corner of your video screen.

To add an annotation to your video:

  1. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > Annotation button.
  1. Now add text and a URL to direct your viewers to a page or website. To track the source, you can add a UTM to the URL.
  2. You can choose to set the appearance time for the annotation by changing the start and end time, as well.
  3. Once you’re done adding text, URL, and have set the time. Click on Apply to save the changes.
  4. You’ll notice the Annotation added to your video below the video preview.



Embed custom CRM form:

Collect the lead's details by inserting a Customized CRM form into your video.

To embed custom CRM form to your video:

  1. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > Embed Custom CRM Form button.

  1. Add your customized HTML code in the space provided.

  2. Finally, set a time at which you’d like the CRM form to appear and click Apply to save the changes.

  3. You’ll notice the Embed custom CRM form added to your video below the video preview.


Lead Generation Form:

Have you ever thought that you could make use of videos to collect viewers’ contact information? Yes, it’s not a joke and it is possible with Hippo Video. Let’s get into it.

To add lead generation form to your video:

  1. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > Lead Generation Form button.

  1. Add a title on the top and a note at the bottom of the form.

  2. A typical form will contain details like first name, last name, and email address. If you’d want your viewer’s contact number, you have an option to enable that field.

  3. Also, if you strictly want your viewers to fill in their details. You can disable the Skip option.

  4. Finally, set a time at which you’d like the form to appear and click Apply to save the changes.

  5. You’ll notice the Lead Generation Form added to your video below the video preview.


Custom Poll:

Get responses from your viewers by activating a quiz or a question poll within your videos. The custom poll allows your viewers to express their opinions on your video. This way, you can get a sense of what people think or feel about your brand.

To add a custom poll to your video:

  1. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > Custom Poll button.

  1. Add your question in the space provided and fill in the answers your viewers would be able to pick from.

  2. You can give your users up to 4 options to choose from, and you can enable the Skip option if you want all your viewers to participate in the poll.

  3. Now, set a time at which you’d like the custom poll to appear and click Apply to save the changes.

  4. You’ll notice the Custom Poll added to your video below the video preview.


Promote a playlist:

This is one of the smart and effective ways to promote any related videos and increase the number of video views.

To add videos to your playlist:

  1. Below the video preview, click on the Interactive Video CTA tab > Promote a Playlist button.

  1. Click Choose file from Hippo Video Library button.

  1. Select a video you’d want to create a video playlist and click Select.

  1. The selected video is added.

  2. Set a Time and click Apply to save the changes.

Note: You can edit the interactive video CTA anytime.
