How to create a GIF from any video

GIFs have taken over our lives and are one of the frequent things we see on the internet today. Wait! What's a GIF?

A GIF is an endless loop that stops after a few series and is popularly used for any quick display, explanation, or when a feature requires an announcement.

Feature benefits:

  • Max Duration can be up to 1-minute in length

  • Resolution up to 1080p and frame rates 10,15, and 20

  • Converted videos are marked as (GIF icon) for convenience

  • Video speed increased up to 3 times 

To create the video into GIF:

  1. Login to Hippo Video using your existing credentials.

  2. Click on the Assets icon from the left navigation bar > All Assets.

  3. Open the video you wish to convert into a GIF. You’ll be redirected to the preview page.

  1. Now, click on the More icon at the top right of the video thumbnail.

  1. Select the Create GIF option from the pop-up.

  1. Then, move the slide bar to choose the starting and ending portion of the GIF.

  2. By default, the area covered by the slide bar is 30 sec. It can be extended up to 60 sec.

  3. Once you select the area, choose the resolution, frame rate, and speed.

  4. Finally, click on Save & Share to save the changes.
