With Hippo Video, you can now record with a webcam which can be a great way to connect with your prospects.  Showing your face on a video allows your prospects to identify with you and see your facial expressions while explaining a topic. This way you can pitch or connect with them on a personal level.

Tip: Circle webcam suits best when you are recording content inside the Chrome browser. What you see is what will appear in the final recording.


Requirements:

  • Hippo Video Chrome Extension. Click here to install it.

  • Enable your Screen Record, Webcam, and Mic options in the Record tab.


To set circle webcam using chrome extension: 

  1. Click on the Hippo Video icon on top (browser).

  2. Next, click on Advanced Settings at the bottom of the pop-up window.

  1. Under the Webcam Settings label, select the ‘Webcam shape’ as Circle.

  1. Once you’ve selected, click  (top of the pop-up window) and then click on Record

  2. Select the type of screencasting you wish to record: Entire Screen/Window and proceed with the recording.
    Note: If you are accessing the webcam for the first time then you’ll be given a Webcam tour to help you select the best webcam position.

  1. Screen recording will start after the countdown.

  2. At the beginning of the recording, you will notice that your webcam will appear at the center of your screen.

  1. To move the webcam, double-click on the webcam or click anywhere on the screen the webcam will be moved to the left top/right top/left bottom/right bottom corners of your screen.

  1. Select from a wide range of mark-up tools at the bottom right corner to pause and play your video or toggle your webcam.

  1. Click on the  Webcam icon, to toggle between the webcam visibility.
