Cadence is a repeatable series of steps that helps your sales process to create a consistent process.

To create cadences from SalesLoft:

  1. Log-in to SalesLoft using your credentials.

  2. Click Cadences from the quick navigation bar on the left.

  3. On the right, click  Add Cadence.

  1. Enter the cadence name, function, priority, etc, and then click Save Cadence. The Cadence will be saved.

  1. Click on Add Step.

  1. Click Email and then click Next

  1. Enter the Day you would like the step to run and then click Next.

Note: You can create steps either by clicking on the Hippo Video icon or by clicking on Insert Template. If you want to create a video and add a step then follow the steps from 8 to 12 or if you want to add a step by inserting a template then follow the steps from 13 to 15.

Adding Steps by clicking on the Hippo Video icon:

  1. Then, click on the Hippo Video icon at the top right.

  1. You will see a pop-up with two options - Record with screen-recording or Choose from library.

Note: Webcam Mic are selected by default. If you want to capture your screen while recording the message, select Screen. Else, leave it unchecked and proceed to the next step.

  1. To record a new video

Note: The Enable Teleprompter feature within Hippo Video will prompt your scripts on the screen and lets you talk without the need to check your notes.

  1. Now, click on Start Recording to record your message.

  1. Once the recording is complete, click on Finish Recording.

  1. To personalize your video

  1. Change the text “New Recording” above the video to a name of your choice.

  2. Use the Trim Video option, to trim any awkward pauses in the video by clicking on the Scissor icon.

  1. You can also crop, add emojis or callouts, blur out parts of the screen or resize your video.        

  2. Click on the T (text) icon to add text.

  1. Use the orange seek bar at the bottom to enter Start Time and End Time for the text and click Save. It determines the duration and position of the text in the video.

  1. Once you have completed editing, your video is now ready to be shared.

  2. If you wish to send out your video via a landing page, click the ‘Landing Page’ tab on the top right corner to select a landing page template to embed.         

Here’s a Pro Tip: You can create one sales page for multiple videos and the entire team can use it while sending videos. The Merge fields will be auto-replaced with the prospect information eg: First Name, Company name, etc.

       

  1. Thenclick on the ‘Thumbnail’ tab on the top right corner to choose a thumbnail for the video.    

Here’s a Pro Tip: It is recommended to choose an animated GIF thumbnail over a static one.

  1. Once you’re done, click on Copy to Clipboard

  1. Fill in the details and then click on Copy to Clipboard.

  2. Press Ctrl+V and you will notice the video gets pasted as a thumbnail inside the create template window.

  3. The Preview Mode will show how your template will look.

Note: Click on the Dynamic Fields icon at the top and select the merge fields, if required. 

  1. Click on Add Step, to add the existing step, or click on Add & Create Another, to repeat the above steps to add more video emails into the sequence at your desired intervals.

Adding Steps by clicking on the Insert Template:

  1. Click on Insert Template at the top of the Create Step window.

  2. From the listed templates, click on the appropriate template.

  1. Once you’ve selected, click on Insert.

  2. You will notice the video gets pasted as a thumbnail inside the create step window.
